(AGI) – Roma, 9 ott. – Francoforte – La casa farmaceutica tedesca Boehringer Ingelheim ha deciso di interromperwe lo sviluppo clinico del cosiddetto ‘Viagra rosa’ perche’ non e’ riuscita a persuadere l’ente di controllo statunitense dei potenziali benefici che la pillola sperimentale potrebbe avere sull’aumento di desiderio sessuale nelle donne. "Non e’ stata una decisione facile", ha detto Andreas Barner, amministratore delegato "soprattutto alla luce dello stadio avanzato di sviluppo del farmaco". La pillola, che per la casa farmaceutica rappresentava una potenziale fonte di grandi guadagni, era stata pensata per le donne in premenopausa caratterizzate da un continuo e inspiegato calo del desiderio sessuale.
