Fraud on pharmacy tickets is moving towards indictment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p csl=\"\/SysConfig\/Rules\/Eidos\/IlSecoloXIX2010\/IlSecoloXIX\/AltStyles\/Targa.csl#No Rientro\"><font size=\"3\">Chiavari \u2013 The public prosecutor&#039;s office of Chiavari is preparing to request the indictment of the pharmacist suspected of having forged the signatures on the self-certifications for the exemption from the co-payment. The owner of the Chiavase business is suspected of <strong>fraud <\/strong>to the detriment of the regional and national health system.<\/font> <font size=\"3\">According to what is estimated by the carabinieri of the anti-adulteration and health unit, coordinated by the prosecutor Francesco Brancaccio, the illegal turnover would amount to around 1,500 euros per month, for an annual total of over 15 thousand euros. The investigators also hypothesize that the alleged fraud may have been concocted not so much to secure additional income, but to increase the commercial value of the pharmacy in view of a possible sale.<\/font><\/p>\n<div id=\"banner_little_box\"><script language=\"JavaScript\" type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<!-- \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOAS_RICH('VideoBox_180x150'); \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\/\/--> \t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/script><font size=\"3\">The deputy prosecutor Brancaccio will have to decide whether to ask the court to try the suspected pharmacist or whether, rather, to continue the investigation. The Nas soldiers have sifted through hundreds of self-certifications and as many recipes and do not now exclude the involvement of some compliant doctor. Some prescriptions concern medicines never taken by patients, sometimes for pathologies unknown to the recipients of the medicines themselves. In other words, the suspected fraud against the regional health system could be far more extensive: the carabinieri&#039;s analysis reveals the position of some elderly war invalids, who are guaranteed total exemption from the ticket. Well these patients would have been <strong>prescribed medicines for undiagnosed diseases<\/strong> and they would have been asked to pay the ticket anyway.
