Generic drugs on prescription? Family doctors like the wording 'non-replaceable'. There were 1,177 general practitioners who answered a questionnaire on the new law which provides for reporting on the prescription, at the time of prescription, the substitutability of the drug or the non-substitutability.<\/p>\n

"The survey - says Paolo Misericordia, head of the Federation's Study Center - was conducted in collaboration between the Fimmg Study Center and Doxapharma" and the questionnaire "was administered to our members".<\/p>\n

"The questions were aimed at understanding what the doctor thinks of this legislation, how he behaved before the law came into force and, above all, what orientation he will take on this aspect also in the relationship with the patient".<\/p>\n

To have an overall assessment of the impact caused by the decree, Doxapharma also conducted a survey on the general population, to understand how users perceive the phenomenon of the substitutability of prescribed drugs. The data collected is being processed. From preliminary analyses, however, it would seem that the term 'non-replaceable' is particularly appreciated by family doctors.<\/p>\n
