In 2013-2014, the health system will have to make savings of 8 billion. Experiences from other countries, not least Greece, show that a serious economic and political crisis has direct repercussions on the state of health of citizens. Because the psychological stress linked to uncertainty increases and because the decrease in income no longer allows access to some treatments. The consequences are even more serious if the entire institutional and welfare state system is called into question. There maneuver of July 2011<\/span><\/strong>, in addition to the new tickets for specialist visits and examinations (about 800 million when fully operational), has planned for the National Health System 8 billion in savings<\/span><\/strong> to be implemented in 2013-14 through measures, to be defined in agreement with the Regions, concerning expenditure on pharmaceuticals, personnel and medical devices and the introduction of additional co-payments. And it probably didn't end there. It is early to verify the possible consequences of the maneuver in healthcare, but some reflections can be made.<\/span><\/p>\n
