17:41<\/span><\/b> \u2013 From today on our doctor's prescription we will no longer find the commercial name of the medicine, but only that of the active ingredient of the drug. This indication (accompanied, of course, by the other identifying elements of the medicinal product: dosage, pharmaceutical form and, if necessary, route of administration) will allow the pharmacist to obtain delivery of the medicinal product at the expense of the National Health Service. The novelty based on the provisions of the regulations already in force (article 11, c. 12, of decree-law n. 1\/2012, converted with amendments by law n. 27\/2012)<\/p>\n

According to the new legislation, the pharmacist must provide the patient with the medicine that has the lowest price among those on the market. Only if several medicines have the same price, can he deliver any one according to the patient's preference. The possibility of the patient to ask the pharmacist for a drug at a higher price remains unaffected, but in this case the difference between the two prices must be paid to the pharmacist.<\/p>\n
