In the United States, the number of doctors who received a visit from a drug sales representative equipped with a tablet doubled in the United States, going from 30 to 65% between 2011 and 2012, a sign that technology is really making its way into the daily practice of these professionals. This is what emerges from the new 'ePharma Physician 2012' by Manhattan Research, which involved 1,819 'white coats' to explore how they use digital channels to obtain information on drugs and connect with companies and ISFs. The study showed that the 'presence' of a tablet between the informant and the doctor influences the behavior of the latter: for example, among the white coats who received a visit from a 'hig tech' Isf, the 35% claims that he was then more intrigued by the product to the point of requesting a sample and the 29% at the end of the illustration declared himself theoretically willing to prescribe the medicine. "We're seeing more and more signs this year that ISF's use of tablets helps them get the attention they want from industry," said Monique Levy, research vice president at Manhattan Research.<\/p>\n
