\u201cWe proclaim state of turmoil of all Takeda employees. An assembly with the workers will be held in Rome on Friday 21 September, in which we will evaluate which protest initiatives to put in place against the company's closed attitude\u201d.
This was stated by Eliseo Fiorin, of the national secretariat of Ugl Chimici, at the end of the meeting with Takeda's top management on the mobility procedure for 170 employees, opened following the announcement of the merger with Nycomed.
"Not only does the company - explains the trade unionist - not want to consider the possibility of resorting to less penalizing solutions than mobility, such as layoffs and solidarity contracts, but it intends to outsource some figures of scientific informant, who will therefore no longer be protected by the guarantees of the national contract for the chemical-pharmaceutical sector and could then definitively leave the perimeter of the company in the event that the latter decides to no longer make use of these professionals".
\u201cThe RSU Nycomed \u2013 recalls Fiorin \u2013 has already called a strike, on Thursday 20 September for workers in the North Center and in the Milan office, with a union meeting in the Lombard capital, and on Friday 21 September for employees in the Central South, who will meet in assembly in Naples. Without sudden reversals of course, we do not rule out strike action also for Takeda. Time is running out \u2013 concludes the trade unionist -, because the deadline established by law to reach an agreement on the mobility procedure will soon expire, and we will do everything possible to give the workers involved maximum protection\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nycomed, Ugl Chimici: "Strike against redundancy plan for merger with Takeda"<\/p>\n

"The Rsu Nycomed has proclaimed a strike by the multinational's employees for the next 20 and 21 September".
This was declared in a joint note by Eliseo Fiorin, of the national secretariat of Ugl Chimici, and Fabrizio Rigoldi, regional secretary of Ugl Chimici L0mbardia, explaining that "on Thursday 20 September the workers of the North Center and the Milan office will go on strike, with a trade union meeting in the Lombard capital, while on Friday 21 September the employees of the Central South will protest and will meet in assembly in Naples".
