Tax evasion shows no sign of stopping. Indeed, for some categories, including many health professionals, it even shows growth, even compared to the already worrying data of 2007. These are, in a nutshell, some of the results that emerged from the Third Eures Report on tax evasion in Italy, which examines the attitude towards the tax authorities of 52 categories of workers, starting from the direct experience of a representative sample of 1,225 citizens. Data therefore reliable, as directly attributable to the direct experience of those who had to pay at least part of the professional services "in the black".
As has been said, tax evasion among healthcare professions is constantly increasing: in particular dentists (34% in 2012, compared to 32.9% in 2007 and 27.7% in 2004) and specialist doctors (34%, compared to 26.7% of 2007 and 25.5% of 2004). Among these, the black jersey goes to psychologists and psychiatrists, whose evasion rate reaches 40%, closely followed by dieticians and nutritionists (38%). Still with regard to doctors, among the unlawful conduct, the most widespread is the failure to issue an invoice with a request for the entire fee (20.4% of dieticians, 20% of psychologists\/psychiatrists, 14.8% of dentists, 14.7% of specialist doctors). Non-invoicing with a discount on the fee requested is instead practiced by 13.3% of psychologists\/psychiatrists, 11.4% of dentists, 11.1% of dieticians and 10.8% of specialist doctors.
And the numbers of this widespread illegality? Very high. If, in fact, in the health sector, dentists register the highest values (1.5 billion euros a year of undeclared fees), also specialists (441 million euros), psychologists\/psychiatrists (233 million euros) and nutritionists\/dietelogists (95 million euros) contribute significantly to raising the overall figure.<\/span><\/p>\n
