Biological medicines for the treatment of rheumatic pathologies have been stolen in recent weeks from various hospitals in Italy, from the Policlinico di Bari to San Paolo in the same Apulian capital, in Caserta and other centres. These are medicines for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and Crohn's disease, and the Association of People with Rheumatic Diseases (Apmar) issues a warning to patients recommending that they "follow only the official ways to access biological medicines. No other form of procurement, online or on parallel markets, can guarantee the necessary security, as well as constitute a crime. In fact, stolen medicines could be counterfeited and put back into circulation on parallel markets - in Italy or abroad - without the necessary guarantees ", warns the association.<\/p>\n

"We don't know how these drugs will be used - observes the president of APMAR, Antonella Celano in a note - but these are drugs that have great value on the market and which represent the most innovative treatments for many patients".<\/p>\n
