 Pre-trial detention orders in prison and house searches were carried out at dawn this morning against members of a criminal organization dedicated to theft and receiving drugs of enormous economic value. In particular, the Rome Flying Squad and the "La Sapienza" University PS Commissioner's Office carried out eight pre-trial detention orders in prison issued by the Court of Rome as part of an investigative activity coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Rome against some members of a criminal organization dedicated to the theft and the receipt of drugs of enormous economic value stolen from the internal pharmacy of the Umberto I General Hospital in Rome. The suspects formed a criminal organization which in the time period between the end of 2012 and the whole of 2013 constantly and continuously carried out a series of thefts of large quantities of drugs of considerable economic value as well as significant social importance stolen at the pharmacy-warehouse inside the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, specialist drugs of the oncological and anti-rheumatoid type, for a total value of over one million euros<\/span><\/span>.
