In June 2014, among the sectors that recorded the greatest trend growth was the sector of production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+2.2%)<\/i><\/p>\n
In June 2014, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production increased by 0.9% compared to May. On average for the April-June quarter, production decreased by 0.4% compared to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n
Corrected for calendar effects, in June 2014, the index increased in trend terms by 0.4% (there were 20 working days as in June 2013). On average in the first half of the year, production increased by 0.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n
In June, the seasonally adjusted index shows positive cyclical changes in the groupings of capital goods (+2.6%), consumer goods (+2.5%) and energy (+0.3%); on the other hand, the intermediate goods sector recorded a negative change (-0.2%).<\/p>\n
In June 2014, the indices corrected for calendar effects recorded a single trend increase in the grouping of consumer goods (+3.5%); instead, energy (-1.4%), intermediate goods (-1.3%) and capital goods (-0.1%) decreased.<\/p>\n
As regards the sectors of economic activity, in June 2014, the sectors that recorded the greatest trend growth are those of the food, beverage and tobacco industries (+4.0%), the manufacture of computers, electronic and optical products, electromedical equipment , measuring devices and watches (+3.9%) and the production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+2.2%). The largest decreases were recorded in the sectors of mining (-11.7%), manufacturing of electrical and non-electrical household appliances (-10.8%) and manufacturing of coke and refined petroleum products (-7.9% ).<\/p>\n
