Continuing the interview, he says that the pharmaceutical sector has always tried to innovate, but this model, he says, is probably annoying. We should know the sector better, leave aside prejudices and speak with knowledge of the facts.<\/p>\n

To the accusations that Farmindustria is a lobby interested only in the sale of medicines, he replies that these too are prejudices. He cites, for example, the case of vaccines in which 40 are saved for every euro spent on them and, he says, it is certainly not true that they are needed to sell more \"\"drugs, indeed, by preventing diseases, less drugs will be used, not more. It is the usual discourse of prejudice.<\/p>\n

The drug, continues Scaccabarozzi, can be good or bad: it is good when necessary and prescribed by a doctor.<\/p>\n

He then concludes, speaking of untraceable medicines, that the cost of medicines in Italy is 30%\/40% lower than in other European countries. Due to the free movement of goods in Europe, some distributors buy at Italian prices to resell at European prices. He observes that the price of medicines in Italy is negotiated with AIFA for the NHS and cannot be valid for everyone. AIFA and the Ministry are looking for a solution<\/p>\n
