AstraZeneca said it "made this decision with responsibility and commitment, after an analysis on the need to adapt to market challenges and become more competitive, and to be more efficient and effective to further develop and deliver innovative treatments for patients." .<\/p>\n

Meetings will begin as early as today "with the workers' representatives so that together we can reach agreements that minimize the effects of this decision".<\/p>\n
