The State, by reimbursing medicines with inflated prices, would have lost 860 million euros. The Aleotti family, owner of Menarini, would have earned over half a billion euros: that money would have been laundered abroad together with other illicit proceeds accumulated thanks to corruption and numerous tax fraud crimes, for a total of around 1.2 billion euros .<\/p>\n

The thesis of the Florence prosecutor's office was in fact accepted tonight by the Court of the Tuscan capital, judge Francesco Gratteri president of the jury, who after a two-year trial.<\/p>\n
