Pharmaceutical Industry Revenue +10.6% and Orders +16% compared to January 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 id=\"title\">Industry turnover and orders<\/h1>\n<p>In January, compared to the previous month, industry recorded a drop in both turnover (-3.5%) and orders (-2.9%), after three months of economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The decrease in turnover is greater on the foreign market (-5.4%) than on the domestic market (-2.3%). On the other hand, orders recorded an increase on the foreign market (+2.6%) and a decrease on the domestic one (-6.6%).<\/p>\n<p>The decline recorded in January does not change the growth trend detectable on a quarterly basis: on average for the last three months, the overall turnover index is in fact up by 1.7% compared to the previous three months, with similar trends for the market domestic and foreign.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nuovomille.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GRAFICI-800x445.jpg\" alt=\"Risultati immagini per istat grafici\" width=\"428\" height=\"238\" \/>Corrected for calendar effects (working days were 21 against 19 in January 2016), total turnover grew in trend terms by 1.5% (+1.5% on the domestic market and +1.3% on the foreign market) .<\/p>\n<p>The seasonally adjusted turnover indices show a cyclical increase for energy (+3.5%), while declines are recorded for capital goods (-5.1%), intermediate goods (-3.5%) and consumption (-3.4%).<\/p>\n<p>The raw turnover index grows, in trend terms, by 8.2%: the largest contribution to this increase comes from the internal component of intermediate goods.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of turnover, the most significant trend increase is recorded in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+18.9%), while the greatest decrease in the manufacturing sector concerns the other manufacturing industries, repair and installation of machinery and equipment (-9. 6%).<\/p>\n<p>In comparison with the month of January 2016, the raw index of orders marks an increase of 8.6%.
