Drug database<\/strong>\u00a0is the official app of AIFA (Italian Medicines Agency), the body that in Italy authorizes the marketing of medicines on the national territory.<\/p>\n

\"1The database allows you to consult the drugs officially on the market in our country and can be done by searching for the specific drug, the active ingredient or the pharmaceutical company. The updated Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC) and Package Leaflet (PL) are available (in PDF format) for each drug.<\/p>\n

The Drug Database, prepared by the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), is the only official database that allows consultation of the updated Summaries of Product Characteristics (SPC) and Package Leaflets (FI) of drugs authorized in Italy. It is also possible to print copies of each document present in the database, thus acquiring useful information concerning the medicines authorized for marketing in Italy.<\/i><\/p>\n

All published documents have been checked and approved by the Italian Medicines Agency or the European Medicines Agency (EMA, European Medicines Agency). The updating of the database is the exclusive competence of AIFA. The Drug Database is a public database, intended for anyone interested in acquiring updated information on drugs authorized in Italy.<\/i><\/p>\n

It is a particularly useful tool for healthcare operators, who constantly need to update their knowledge in order to correctly prescribe and make the best use of medicines, but it is also important for patients who, by consulting the medicine database, can better understand the benefits and possible side effects of the medications they have been prescribed.<\/i><\/p>\n
