FABIO Carinci, 72 years old, official of merit of the Republic, scientific informant for 44 years, was also president of the association (Fedaiisf). In an interview with Qn Paul Cornaglia Ferraris<\/a><\/span> \u2013 pediatrician and author of successful investigative books such as 'Shirts and pajamas' \u2013 mentioning your category raised the problem of comparison.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe always start from the assumption that we, the intermediary between the pharmaceutical industry and the doctor, are the geniuses of evil, the bandits. In reality we do medical-scientific information. Point".<\/p>\n

Your category has been significantly downsized.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last six years there have been at least ten thousand layoffs. Times have changed. Today there are not even 9,000 pure informants, those who speak of ethical specialties and not of supplements or the like. But our extinction seems to be of no interest to anyone\u201d.<\/p>\n

Rules of engagement?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a very serious problem. Pharmaceutical industry contracts have not been brought into line with state standards. Law 219 of 2006 requires companies to activate a medical-scientific information network free from marketing. We have to depend on the medical or scientific service\u201d.<\/p>\n

Do you have a budget for your leads?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe budget is managed by the area manager. Doctors ask us questions. We fill out a form that says: Dr. so-and-so would like a congressional presence in that city for that meeting. I think you can join. My latest budget? Fifteen hundred euros a year\u201d.<\/p>\n

The temptations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe only one regards the so-called prizes at the end of the year. But we have always opposed this story\u201d.<\/p>\n

Compulsory degree today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

"Absolutely yes. There have been two regularizations, the last one in 2006. Anyone who was at work was confirmed in any case\u201d.<\/p>\n

Average salary?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAn old-fashioned informant goes for 2,200-2,400 euros. But pharmaceutical companies keep young people, they earn 1,300-1,400 euros\u201d.<\/p>\n

Work rhythms.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cEvery day we manage 200 thousand medical contacts, which become 50 million a year, we see 10 million pharmacies, tens and tens of millions of patients whose comments we listen to. We are the only ones who can notice prescriptive distortions in real time\u201d.<\/p>\n

Have you ever reported a scandal?<\/strong><\/p>\n

"Never, because I never knew."<\/p>\n
