The most interesting appointment for the pharmaceutical profession is certainly that of\u00a0Frederick Gelli\u00a0<\/strong>(in the picture),<\/em>\u00a0confirmed without surprises at the head of the Health department.<\/p>\n

\"ImmagineFederico Gelli is a doctor specializing in public health and is a deputy of the XVII legislature, elected in the Tuscany District on the list of the PD.<\/p>\n

He spent his childhood and adolescence in Castelnuovo. From a very young age he was involved in associations and voluntary work, first in the scouts where he worked for over ten years and where he met the future prime minister\u00a0Matthew Renzi<\/a><\/span>, then in ACLI where from 1990 to 2000 he was provincial president of Pisa and member of the national management. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in Pisa, with a specialization in public health. In 1997 he became deputy medical director of the University Hospital of Pisa and until 2000 he coordinated the donation and transplantation of organs and tissues. In September 2011 he took on the role of director of the coordination of maxi emergencies and extraordinary events (emergency manager) of the ASL 10 of Florence. Since September 2012 he has been Medical Director of the Florence Center Hospital (Santa Maria Nuova Hospital and Palagi Plant). He is married and has one son.<\/p>\n

at\u00a0general election of 2013<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is elected deputy of the\u00a0XVII legislature of the Italian Republic<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in the XII Tuscany district for the\u00a0Democratic party<\/a><\/span>. In November 2013 he was elected president of Cesvot Toscana. Since 1997, Cesvot \u2013 Centro Servizi Volontariato Toscana \u2013 has been offering training, consultancy and planning assistance services and carries out research, documentation, promotion and information activities in favor of the over 3,500 voluntary associations present in the Tuscan territory. He is a member of the Bureau of the\u00a0Antonino Caponnetto Foundation<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and in December 2013 he founded the Nova Association to promote the culture and policy of innovation, particularly in healthcare, research and administrative simplification.<\/p>\n

In 2000 he was elected to the Regional Council of Tuscany on the Democratic list\u00a0Italian renewal<\/a><\/span>. Having become president of the Health Commission, he helped create 2 health plans and 2 integrated social plans, laying the foundations for the most important reforms of Tuscan health care in the last ten years: the reform of law 40, which governs the health service and the law regional law 41 which regulates services for the most disadvantaged social categories. From 2005 to 2010 he was vice president of the regional council, with powers for security and legality policies, the internet and technological innovation, the reorganization of public offices and simplification, equal opportunities. He was the last regional president of Margherita until the birth of the Democratic Party in Tuscany. From 2010 to 2014 he was regional manager for legality and security of the Tuscan Democratic Party, with this role from February to May 2012 he directed the School of Legality for party executives and administrators, a unique experience in Italy in collaboration with Pier Luigi Vigna . In December of that same year he participated in the primaries for the parliamentarians of the Democratic Party for Pisa and the Province, obtaining 2784 votes. In the political elections of 24 and 25 February 2013 he was elected on the PD lists as a deputy in the XVII legislature and is a member of the Social Affairs Commission and the Parliamentary Commission for Simplification.<\/p>\n
