Private healthcare spending on households continues to grow<\/strong>, equal to 33.9 billion euros in 2016 (+1.9% compared to 2012). While waiting lists in the public swell. This is what emerges from the 2017 Censis Report on the country's social situation. In 2014-2017, the wait for a mammogram was extended by 60 days, by eight days for a cardiology visit, by six days for colonoscopy and magnetic resonance imaging. \"\"<\/a>Approximately 64% of citizens are satisfied with the health service of their region, a share that however drops to 46.6% in the South. During the last year, the health service of their region has worsened according to 30.5% of Italians, a share that rises in South at 38.1% and in the Center at 32.6%. As for disabilities, in 2016 there were 3,378,000 non-self-sufficient people (8% of the population, with shares equal to 7% in the South, 5.8% in the Centre, 5.5% in the North-East and 4.7% in the Northwest). The 80,8% is over 65 years old. In light of current trends, it is estimated that in 2031 there will be 4,666,000 dependent people and the area most at risk is the South, with an expected increase of 10.5%.<\/p>\n
