\u201cJust a few months ago, on October 12, the CEO of Teva Italia declared that Italian production and turnover were growing, that in 2019 there would be strong research development, and that Italy had the second best European sales performance with a plus 8%.<\/p>\n

For these reasons, the decision on 7,000 redundancies worldwide would not have affected our country, even in the face of the contraction of \"TEVA<\/a>US sales recorded around 10%.<\/p>\n

Today, however, the company reports a cut of 130 employees in Italy, out of a total of 1400, which will impact research for the 50%, all of this is inconsistent and unacceptable" said Sergio Cardinali (Filctem CGIL national) after the meeting with company representatives.<\/p>\n

"We have called for a state of agitation for all personnel - continued Cardinali - with blocking of all flexibility until the next meeting because, with a sense of responsibility, we believe that the company must present an industrial plan that can lucidly shed light on the real company situation.<\/p>\n

The workers have already paid a tribute in terms of harmonizing economic treatments, and we do not accept redundancies in the name of the contribution to be made to the logic of international management. If Teva goes well in Italy, employment must be maintained, it is not with the Italian budgets that foreign accounts are settled. On the contrary, if the company does not understand this, the intensification of the mobilization will be a natural consequence\u201d.<\/p>\n
