The first institutional information portal for citizens against hoaxes is online<\/em><\/p>\n

ISSalute is born, the first institutional portal dedicated entirely to the citizen for information, knowledge and choice. It provides correct health information written in clear, simple and accessible language for all.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The easy-to-use portal is organized into four sections: AZ Health, Life Styles and the Environment and False Myths and Hoaxes, to which is added a News section updated daily by the Ansa agency on current issues in medicine and research.<\/p>\n

At the address www.ISSalute.it<\/a> the experts of the Istituto Superiore di Sanit\u00e0 have created a real encyclopaedia of digital and interactive health for the citizen which, with over 1700 fact sheets drawn up on the causes, ailments, treatments, disease prevention and 150 unmasked fake news that will become in a short time over 400. A site, updated daily, which offers visitors a real compass to orient themselves in the sea of scientific information present on the web.<\/p>\n

The portal will be presented by the President of the Istituto Superiore di Sanit\u00e0 Walter Ricciardi together with the journalist and writer Piero Angela and the Minister of Health Beatrice Lorenzin in the Aula Pocchiari of the Istituto Superiore di Sanit\u00e0. \u201cOur portal was created to explain to citizens the value of research and of all the knowledge produced by the ISS and by the entire scientific community to make it usable by as many people as possible, without discrimination of income or level of literacy. Let's take the field against online hoaxes. We want to offer citizens who increasingly consult the web for health reasons, finding everything and its opposite, a safe haven, a rigorous and authoritative point of reference. \u2013 says Walter Ricciardi, President of the Istituto Superiore di Sanit\u00e0 \u2013 It is information certified at the origin because it is produced in the same places where research is carried out and scientific knowledge is produced and it is a contribution to the equity and sustainability of our healthcare system\u201d .<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Issahealth portal was built to promote conscious and correct health choices in citizens because they are consistent with the available scientific evidence. But it also wants to be a tool in the hands of citizens so that they can disseminate and share scientific content within disintermediated channels such as blogs and social networks.<\/p>\n

According to the latest Censis report, as many as one Italian out of three surfs the net to obtain information on health. Of these, more than 90.4% carry out research on specific pathologies. Contacts from online newspapers (+2.6%) and other information web portals (+4.9%) are growing. The diffusion of Social Networks is increasing: 50.3% of the entire population is registered on Facebook (77.4% of young people under 30), YouTube reaches 42% of users (72.5% of young people) and Twitter on 10 ,1%.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe knowledge portal is another of the pillars that the ISS is building for the dissemination of scientific culture to citizens in our country. It joins the Science Museum inaugurated in the presence of the President of the Republic Mattarella last year and where today we are kicking off the traveling exhibition "Mondovaccini", a journey to discover these drugs and their immense therapeutic value throughout history. A museum and an exhibition \u2013 concludes Ricciardi \u2013 which are fully part of a cultural operation and a scientific education which an institution that promotes public health cannot ignore\u201d.
