The medicine test 2018<\/strong><\/a> it could be the last of a national nature since, starting from next year, the idea could be put into practice of a substantial modification of the admission test for the 2019 test. <\/strong>The October 15 the Council of Ministers<\/strong> approved the bill relating to the state budget for the 2019 financial year and the multi-year budget for the three-year period 2019-2012 and within it, according to the press release issued yesterday, there are also important news on the medicine tests<\/strong>, the entrance test that regulates access to the Single Cycle Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery. The test that regulates access to the national programmed access course could be abolished<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

MEDICINE TEST ABOLITION: YES OR NO?<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>But while the press is quick to give the news of the abolition of the medicine test and of the closed number<\/strong>, the Government denies. \u201cI don't know\u201d declares Minister Bussetti, who in a joint statement<\/strong><\/a> with the minister Grillo explains in more detail that an alternative is being worked on to increase the places available, but what the abolition of the numerus clausus is not on the agenda for 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Government does the same, which after issuing the official note relating to the last Council of Ministers<\/a> which reads at point 22: Abolition of the limited number in the Faculties of Medicine - The number limited in the Faculties of Medicine is abolished, thus allowing everyone to have access to studies <\/em>turns around and declares (source: Corriere.it):<\/p>\n

With regard to exceeding the limited number for access to the Faculty of Medicine, the Presidency of the Council specifies that it is a matter of a medium-term policy goal<\/strong> for which a technical discussion will be launched with the competent ministries and the Conference of Rectors of Italian universities, which may include a gradual process of increasing the number of places available, until the limited number is exceeded<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

MEDICINE 2018: THE NUMBERS OF THE TEST<\/h3>\n

The medicine test 2018<\/strong>, as well as the entrance tests of previous years, has received several criticisms. Last year they ended up in the eye of the storm logic questions<\/a>, this year it strange case of Google searches<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TOWARDS THE FRENCH MODEL<\/span> \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0The starting point will be starting a table<\/strong> of work, with all the parties involved, starting from crui<\/strong> (the rectors' conference); the arrival one is the aforementioned \u201cFrench model\u201d. Beyond the Alps there is no entry selection: everyone can enroll in Medicine. The closed number, however, is only postponed to end of the first year<\/strong> (and often in the recent past there were even fewer places than those made available in Italy): students must take a overall test<\/strong>, very hard and based on specific topics covered in class, only the 20-30% of candidates<\/strong> surpasses it. In Italy we would like to arrive at a similar system, but times and mode<\/strong> are all to be defined: the basic idea is a selection after the first year of studies on the basis of exams taken<\/strong> and gods votes taken<\/strong>, to understand if even a real test as happens in France (but there, for example, there are those who would like to abolish it). First, however, we need to reduce enrollments (67,000 are too many), strengthening orientation, and putting universities in a position to host a greater number of students at least for the first year, perhaps playing in synergy with other faculties<\/strong> with which there are initial exams in common. It's almost impossible for all of this to happen within a few months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
