Filctem Cgil learned of the intentions of the pharmaceutical group from the top management of the Siena plants of the pharmaceutical multinational<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Filctem Cgil has learned from the top management of the Siena plants of the pharmaceutical multinational Gsk that "following a merger between Gsk Pharma and Gsk Vaccines some research and development functions will be combined between \"\"<\/a>them, leading as a reflection on the sites "of Siena and Rosia "to quantify the job positions "subject to reorganization" at 70, "not excluding - underlines the union itself - that in all likelihood they could be transformed into real redundancies".<\/p>\n

Again according to the acronym, GSK reported that "at the moment this process is inevitable and absolutely necessary to consolidate the business, adding that those 70 positions represent the contribution we have to "pay" for this operation. Unfortunately our concerns, which we have publicly expressed on several occasions for months - continues the union - could therefore materialize ".<\/p>\n

"The first thing we would like to underline is that when someone decides to reorganize a company with these motivations, primarily by streamlining the workforce - and unfortunately we have seen several similar operations in GSK - instead of better organizing the various phases and work functions, all of which risk affecting only the workers. The other worrying consideration is that this intervention may only be the beginning of a further season of reorganisations, due to the fact that the above merger unites only some research and development departments of Vaccines with Pharma, but others could follow \u201d. "As soon as possible - concludes the note from Filctem Cgil - we will meet the GSK top management to start work aimed at safeguarding every single worker and the future of the Siena sites".<\/p>\n
