{"id":50437,"date":"2020-05-26T18:45:45","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T16:45:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/?p=50437"},"modified":"2020-05-26T18:51:41","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T16:51:41","slug":"covid-19-ci-sara-bisogno-di-cina-e-india-per-realizzare-farmaci-e-vaccini","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/en\/covid-19-ci-sara-bisogno-di-cina-e-india-per-realizzare-farmaci-e-vaccini\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19, China and India will be needed to make medicines and vaccines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The various world governments and the world in general will need pharmaceutical products made in China and India to really defeat the coronavirus: this is what Rory Horner, a professor at the University of Manchester and an expert on the Indian pharmaceutical industry, suggests in a new article in The Conversation doing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-50440 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci-36x36.jpg 36w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/cina-india-farmaci.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 301px) 100vw, 301px\" \/><\/a>understand how essential collaboration between the various governments is to achieve the result as soon as possible<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The researcher also mentions the so-called &quot;big pharma&quot;, a term which refers, at least usually, to the group to which the world&#039;s large pharmaceutical companies, usually American and European, belong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">According to Horner, pharmaceutical production in China and India will be crucial to at least getting the pandemic under control, whether it be the drug hydroxychloroquine, remdesivir, antibody-based drugs or vaccines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The researcher explains that the production of a drug takes place in two stages: the first sees the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), the second sees the production of formulations, substances that are combined with the APIs to transform the drug made during the first phase into something assimilable in the body, such as a tablet, liquid, ointment, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-50441 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"389\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now-390x220.jpg 390w, https:\/\/www.fedaiisf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/API-active-pharmaceutical-ingredients-pharma-times-now.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 389px) 100vw, 389px\" \/><\/a>And for over 10 years, China has been the largest producer of APIs in the world.
