Vaccine plan against Covid-19<\/h3>\n

\"\"The Minister of Health Roberto Speranza presented the guidelines of the\u00a0Strategic plan for anti-SARS-CoV-2\/COVID-19 vaccination<\/a>, elaborated by the Ministry of Health, Extraordinary Commissioner for Emergency, Istituto Superiore di Sanit\u00e0, Agenas and Aifa.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of\u00a0communications from the Minister of Health<\/a>\u00a0the Senate and the House approved the document.<\/p>\n

Here are the key points of the plan:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. free and guaranteed vaccination for all<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. over 215 million doses available<\/strong>\u00a0based on the agreements entered into, and after authorization by the EMA and AIFA (updated estimate as at 30 December 2020)<\/li>\n
  3. 27 December 2020, start of vaccination in Italy and Europe (Vaccine day<\/em>)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. identification of the categories to be vaccinated with priority in the initial phase with limited availability of vaccines<\/strong>: health and social care workers, residents and staff of nursing homes for the elderly<\/li>\n
  5. logistics, procurement, storage and transportation<\/strong>under the responsibility of the Extraordinary Commissioner<\/li>\n
  6. governance<\/em>\u00a0of the vaccination plan<\/strong>, ensured by the constant coordination between the Ministry of Health, the structure of the Extraordinary Commissioner and the Regions and Autonomous Provinces<\/li>\n
  7. informative system<\/strong>\u00a0to manage the vaccination campaign in an effective, integrated, safe and transparent way<\/li>\n
  8. pharmacosurveillance and immunological surveillance\u00a0<\/strong>to ensure the highest level of safety throughout the vaccination campaign and the immune response to the vaccine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
