The Census report<\/a> tells the challenges and opportunities for the new health service: the role and professionalism \"\"of doctors and healthcare personnel, the responsible involvement of citizens and the contribution of public-private collaboration. An authentic account of the healthcare of the future as it is seen and desired by citizens.<\/em><\/p>\n

The research was conducted as part of the project 'The construction sites for the health of the future', launched in 2021 by Censis and Janssen Italia.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, Raffaele Donini, Councilor for Health of the Emilia Romagna Region and coordinator of the Health Commission of the Conference of Regions, the Director General of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas ) Domenico Mantoan, the president of Janssen Italy and Head of External Affairs Johnson & Johnson Italy Massimo Scaccabarozzi, the general director of Censis Massimiliano Valerii, the general secretary of Cittadinanzattiva Anna Lisa Mandorino and Daiana Taddeo, National Research Area Simg (Italian Society of Medicine General and Primary Care).<\/em><\/p>\n

THE REPORT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Talking about the healthcare of the near future seen, experienced and desired by citizens, outlining: <\/span><\/p>\n

The four major players in the healthcare ecosystem and their distinct and integrated action: citizens, doctors, innovators, digital health<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The four key challenges of the near future: ageing, health rationing, prevention, equity<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

An expected result: health value maximization. That is, the optimal balance between higher outcomes, personalization of assistance and care, economic sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n

82.1% of citizens adopt healthy behaviors (for example good nutrition, physical activity, caution in smoking and alcohol consumption). 66.9% independently informs themselves about their health. 66.5% carries out<\/span>
\nand preventive checks. The 41.6% actively dialogues with doctors by asking questions and exposing its point of view.<\/span><\/p>\n

Citizens expect: 94.3% greater personalization of care, 92.9% care pathways modulated on their personal needs, from home to the territory, to hospitals.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"92.1% of Italians trust doctors. According to 93,9%, doctors must be at the center of the healthcare of the future. For 1994, 7% doctors must be freed from excessive bureaucratic-administrative burdens to give them back time for patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

For 90, 1% close cooperation between states and drug companies in scientific research and testing is essential. For 93.7% public spending on health and healthcare research is an investment and not a cost.<\/span><\/p>\n

94.0% of Italians expect greater efficacy of treatments and a higher quality of life in the case of chronic diseases. 92,0% expects the discovery of innovative techniques and methodologies to rapidly respond to the challenge of new viruses, bacteria, etc. 91,1% expects a reduction in the risk of falling ill through vaccines, prevention drugs and diagnostic tests early.<\/span><\/p>\n

70.1% of citizens is ready to make data on their health available for studies, research and experimentation. The 65.0% is in favor of expanded digital health files in which data from the most diverse sources flow, including from devices and wearables used in daily life.<\/span><\/p>\n

For citizens, it is a priority to enhance skills: for 79.9% of healthcare operators, for 78.7% of patients and family members.<\/span><\/p>\n

73.2% of Italians trust the Health Service of their Region. 61.0% are convinced that the Health Service will improve, also thanks to the lessons of the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nwhich in turn recall decisive dynamics for building<\/span>

\nproduced by innovators are the recognized and appreciated engine of the continuous improvement of healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nrecalls the convergence of citizens and institutions on the historic opportunity for an epochal change in healthcare towards personalization, higher outcomes and economic sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA very strong message emerges from the report addressed to political-institutional decision-makers: we come from a recent past in which we believed we could manage healthcare problems with financial leverage both on the supply side and on the demand side.
