\"\"Farmindustria, meeting in the assembly, unanimously elected Marcello Cattani as new President for the two-year period 2022-2024. He succeeds Massimo Scaccabarozzi, who led the association from 2011 to 2022.<\/p>\n

Cattani has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi Italy and Malta since 2020. Born in Milan 50 years ago, he is married, has two children and lives in Parma. He has a degree in Biological Sciences with a biomolecular focus with a specialization in Food Chemistry and Technology at the University of Parma.<\/p>\n

In over 20 years he has held roles of increasing responsibility at national and international level, gained in various leading biopharmaceutical companies at a global level.<\/p>\n

Before becoming president of Farmindustria he was delegate for industrial relations and also coordinated the association groups on prevention, rare diseases, work and sustainability. He is also a member of the General Council of Confindustria.<\/p>\n

The Association Assembly has also elected the Presidential Committee composed of five vice-presidents: \"\"<\/a>Lucia Aleotti (A. Menarini), Alberto Chiesi (Chiesi Farmaceutici), Luciano Grottola (Ecupharma), Nicoletta Luppi (Msd Italia), Lorenzo Wittum (Astrazeneca).<\/p>\n

The Presidential Committee also includes Emma Charles (BMS), Valentino Confalone (Novartis), Maurizio de Cicco (Roche), Francesco De Santis (Italfarmaco, Massimo Di Martino (Abiogen Pharma), Pierluigi Petrone (Euromed).<\/p>\n
