A few days after the serious accident in Liguria in which the scientific informant Maria Teresa was seriously injured \"\"Ferro, another terrible crash on the 379 Brindisi Bari state road cut short the life of another scientific informant,\u00a0Serena Loprieno,<\/strong> 49 years old, originally from Martina Franca but residing in Lecce, mother of three children still at an early age. She was going to Bari with her husband for a specialist visit.<\/p>\n

According to a first, fragmentary reconstruction of the facts, at Torre Guaceto there was a slowdown of the vehicles in transit due to a previous rear-end collision, when a lorry crashed into the vehicles in the queue causing the death of two Salentines who were on board of a Peugeot 3008. They are 49-year-old Antonio Lavorato, a blacksmith from Castromedino, a hamlet of Cavallino, and Serena Loprieno, 49, a GSK scientific informant.<\/p>\n

A Jeep Compass and another heavy vehicle were also involved in the impact. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in code red. The two truck drivers, on the other hand, were unharmed.<\/p>\n

\"\"The firefighters of the Brindisi Command, Anas personnel and the 118 health workers intervened on the spot, but there was nothing more they could do for the Peugeot occupants. In fact, the previous attempts of other automoblistii who had tried to rescue the unfortunate people were also useless. Long queues of vehicles formed due to the accident with the road closed at Punta Penne, with a detour on the "Apani-Punta Penne" coastal road.<\/p>\n

The task of reconstructing the exact dynamics and responsibilities of the umpteenth accident that bloodied the streets of Salento is being investigated by the agents of the Traffic Police. And, we add, to the umpteenth accident that ends the life of a scientific informant,<\/p>\n

The Salento colleagues, in communicating the sad news to us, want to express a memory of Serena<\/p>\n

\"\"Serena was one of those people capable of filling your day with optimism. Sunny, smiling, open to dialogue both in the clinic and with a cup of coffee between her fingers. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

From a professional point of view, she is esteemed and appreciated for the preparation and the polite manner of the presentation. The thought of all colleagues is addressed to his three little puppies deprived of their mother by a cruel and absurd fate\u2026. Our Lord give them the strength to face life. Incredulous for the immense loss but confident that she is smiling at us from above we pray for her sweetest soul.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
