Press release no. 700\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 The Italian Medicines Agency has released the AIFA Medicinali application for mobile devices, designed as a practical and immediate tool for accessing information and receiving notifications \"\"on medications.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgency initiative <\/em>\u2013 says the General Manager, Nicola Magrini \u2013 arises from a need reported by the same associations of people with chronic and disabling pathologies who have urged us to develop an app to make them better able to better control possible deficiencies, have handy tools available to consult updated information on drugs, receive initial indications on 'What to do when a drug is in shortage', alerts on their commercial availability. <\/em><\/p>\n

Clearly, the AIFA Medicinali App provides various support tools for agile consultation and to encourage adherence to therapies through simple reminders that remind you of doses, times, methods of taking and expiry of the drug. We are also working on another app for prescribing antibiotics that are more effective, safer and have a lower risk of developing resistance<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Among the various functions, AIFA Medicinali allows you to directly access the AIFA drug database<\/strong>, carry out detailed searches on the individual packs, consult the Package Leaflet (FI) and the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC), view and check the marketing status of medicines authorized in Italy.<\/p>\n

The app allows you to save medicines among the "Favorites<\/strong>\u201d, create one or more \u201ccabinets<\/strong>\u201d with the most frequently used drugs e set reminders<\/strong> for the taking of medicines, offering the patient or whoever takes care of them support in the correct taking of the therapies.<\/p>\n

Through the app it is possible to be updated on any shortcomings of the drugs of interest and to keep the expiration of the packs under control, using the notification service<\/strong>.
\nFinally, the app allows you to insert one or more health cards to have them available at any time on your mobile device.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Issued in BETA version<\/strong>, can be downloaded for free from the official Google and Apple stores accessible directly from the devices through the respective Google Play Store and App Store apps.<\/p>\n
