On the afternoon of 22 April at the headquarters of the Red Cross the AIISF section of Bologna held the 1st BLSD Course (Basic Life Support Defribillation) <\/strong>with AHA (American Hearth Association) certification, for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the treatment of cardiovascular emergencies (ECC), guidelines that are the basis of the life-saving protocols used by healthcare professionals, companies and hospitals in the United States and Worldwide.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The course provides qualification<\/strong> the use of the defibrillator (AED) and the correct execution of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in adults and children. By means of an e-card, the certification is recognized by the Emilia Romagna Region, by 118 and by the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n

At the opening of the works, the very welcome visit of theCouncilor for Welfare of the Municipality of Bologna Luca Rizzo Nervo,<\/strong> who brought his greetings and compliments for the qualifying initiative for Scientific Representatives, in full harmony with regional and municipal policies which have long promoted the participation of lay volunteers in a life-saving network that can make a difference.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Moreover, a study by the journal Resuscitation promoted theRespondER AED app<\/strong>, fully integrated with the regional 118 Operations Centers, for public access to defibrillation. The use of this technology for access by first aiders spread throughout the region has already made it possible to achieve the valuable result that in 13% of cases the intervention of lay volunteers preceded that of the medical emergency services.<\/p>\n

So a qualifying and welcome opportunity<\/strong> to those enrolled in the Bologna Section and it was evident to the teachers, who publicly appreciated the great motivation, interest and active participation of the Learner Scientific Representatives.<\/p>\n

Objective centered on intentions and thanks to the organizers, Cinzia Rossi in primis and the president Alberto Bonomo who takes care of external relations in the best possible way, but above all to the manager of the training center Dr. Alessandro Capecchi and the excellent trainers Gianluca, Ambra and Matteo.<\/p>\n
