CASTELLAMONTE. They say that on Tuesday Danilo Bobba, with his relatives, did nothing but wonder how will i do now?How will I do without her? And indeed, throughout the day, he was not alone.

And in the evening of that same day Danilo Bobba had given an answer to the question that was tormenting him. Late in the evening he told his in-laws that he would go and rest for a moment, but once he got home he locked himself in the bathroom and turned on himself his .45 caliber which he had kept closed for years in an inaccessible drawer with all the permits.

So Marina Rovetto's funeral, already set for yesterday afternoon, also became a farewell to Danilo Bobba. Marino and Danilo were a close-knit couple and something more. Together for 13 years, a life in symbiosis.

Danilo Bobba, 66, had been a scientific informant. She, a general practitioner since 1982, loved her area and its people and had never given up on the surgery in her native Muriaglio. He also received in Castellamonte and, since the beginning of 2014, he was at the Primary Care Center in the former hospital. For many years with maximum borrowings, she was one of those who maintained that being a doctor is a profession and not a job and she went to visit the elderly and the most fragile at home because she looked at people (who get sick and recover) and not just to disease in the abstract sense.

With her, lately there was always Danilo to give her a hand for the appointments. He helped her, was with her. Always. There are those who remember his kind gesture of bringing her a coffee while she was in the studio. Those who, on the other hand, remember her commitment, having been a municipal councilor, being at the forefront also in the Snami general practitioners union, national head of equal opportunities, her presence at the small and historic workers' club of Muriaglio ( his brother Mauro is the secretary and is also the director of the Roman rest home).

Yesterday, to say goodbye to Marina and Danilo, there were a thousand in Muriaglio: administrators, colleagues, friends, many borrowers. The parish priest, Don Angelo Bianchi, welcomed the two coffins in the churchyard and invited everyone to pray. (ri.co.; sa.za.)
