Covid, Bartoletti (Fimmg): sixty year olds the most reluctant to get vaccinated.

Dozens of phone calls a day from general practitioners to explain the importance

In the category of over eighty-year-olds “there are few unvaccinated people left, some have not been vaccinated for concomitant health reasons, the most reluctant are the 60-year-olds ». This was explained by Pier Luigi Bartoletti, deputy secretary of Fimmg (Italian federation of general practitioners), who spoke to the microphones of the «Rotogravure 264» broadcast on Cusano Italia TV.

«Spesso -aggiunge -sono persone che non hanno avuto un’esperienza né diretta né indiretta con il Covid, magari hanno avuto informazioni non vere sulla reale gravità della malattia: chi ha vissuto un’esperienza del genere il vaccino lo fa subito. Riscontro invece grande voglia di vaccinarsi nei giovani, forse anche perché vogliono viaggiare».

“General practitioners – continued Bartoletti – make dozens of phone calls a day to explain to people who have not been vaccinated that they should get vaccinated to prevent them from having serious problems”.

On the availability of vaccines for general practitioners, the Fimmg deputy secretary underlined that "the situation has stabilized and is much improved, even if it seems that new supply difficulties could arise from this week".
