Last year, 2.8 billion euros were spent on advertising in Italy.

The pharmaceutical company Procter & Gamble is the first spender on advertising: 118 million. In second place is the car manufacturer Volkswagen with 101 million. Barilla is third, first Italian company. Ferrero follows with 87 million, then Vodafone with 84.

Who took this mountain of money? Mediaset ate half the cake: one billion and 337 million. A slice of 455 million went to Rai; Sky sold advertising for 234 million; the Discovery channel 114 million; La7 76 million; MTV 34 million.
