Scientific informers of Sardinia: "Children of a lesser God"

The 1500 scientific representatives of Sardinia are the only ones in all of Italy who have not resumed their activities in hospitals: the problem is raised by the sector categories, Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl and Uiltec Uil, who have sent a request for an urgent meeting to health commissioner.

In fact, on 28 May the Region approved the go-ahead for the resumption of scientific activity in the professional studios and clinics of specialists, general practitioners and paediatricians, but did not clear the scientific information activity in hospitals, causing the interruption of a service of public interest aimed at the correct use of medicines and inhibiting its function of pharmacovigilance and information on changes in the technical data sheets of medicines.

"We are talking about 1500 highly qualified health professionals, who are already in conditions of economic difficulty due to the long lockdown and who now urgently need to resume their activities at full speed", said Garau, Nappi and Loi, underlining the he important role played by operators in informing the medical profession on the correct use of medicines: "An activity that needs, like many others of equal importance, to be carried out in presence with all the necessary safeguards and protocols".
