This was stated by Simonetta Saprio, Manager of Hays, a group active worldwide in recruitment specializing in middle and top management, who formalized the birth of Hays Life Sciences, the division dedicated to identifying the most qualified profiles both in the pharmaceutical and in the fields of medical devices and technologies.
The market value of medical equipment and technologies in France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom is estimated to be around $55 billion, with an annual growth rate of 9%. After a couple of years in which the pharmaceutical industry sector experienced a physiological depression due to the severe economic crisis, we are finally breathing a sigh of relief again: in 2011 there was in fact an encouraging growth, +10% in hirings, which is accompanied by another significant figure, +5% average salary increase for operators in the sector.
