The need for politics to collaborate with industry, to "play a common game in everyone's interest", was supported by Enrico Letta, undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council and candidate for the secretariat of the Democratic Party, who spoke in San Polo di Torrile at the inauguration of a new area of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) plant. Among the priorities for the relaunch of the pharmaceutical sector in Italy, Letta deems it appropriate "to create a relationship between the price system and the public policy system, which links the prices of medicines to their degree of innovation".
