Pani (Aifa), avoid shopping between different generics

It is necessary to spread awareness that "equivalents are like other medicines. One piece of advice I would like to give is to avoid shopping between different generics, rather than shopping between brands and generics". This was stated by the general manager of Aifa Luca Pani, in Rome on the occasion of the technical table organized by the EGA-European body for generic drugs, in collaboration with AssoGenerici, to start a comparison between different European players. "Once the patient is well compensated with a therapy, it is good that he continues with that", advises Pani, referring to the discussion on generic drugs these days.

Regarding today's meeting, Pani underlines its importance, stating that "we need to protect the European and Italian industry well. We strongly believe in made in Italy and in generics. We have massively demonstrated this effort for equivalents and to improve the culture of medicines in general".
