"We are in favor of the Turkish minister's proposal on the emergency room ticket for less serious cases, equivalent to outpatient visits: this initiative will certainly help reduce overcrowding in hospitals, especially the larger ones". This was stated by Tommaso Pellegrino (Verdi), member of the Social Affairs-Health Commission of the Chamber. “But now – continued Pellegrino – we need to promote a strong fight against waste: in Italy we have a long-standing problem of inadequacy of the structures and the dossier on 'ghost' hospitals promoted by the Court of Auditors therefore appears even more paradoxical and serious.
