A 53-year-old man from Favara was seriously injured in a car accident. Maurizio Vullo, a medical-scientific informant also well known for his activity as manager of football clubs, was aboard his BMW motorcycle which collided with a BMW series 1 whose driver [ed: a 29-year-old Palmese healthcare worker] was injured, albeit less seriously than the motorcyclist.
The accident occurred on state road 115, near Marina di Palma. Vullo was transported by helicopter to the Sant'Elia hospital in Caltanissetta and is now hospitalized in intensive care.
