Balduzzi. "Generic drugs, unacceptable brakes"

Milan - "Doctors' resistance to generic drugs is unjustified and unacceptable. If necessary, we will intervene with other measures and controls ». In an interview with Secolo XIX the Minister of Health Renato Balduzzi stick with the doctors who continue to prescribe designer drugs, using "tricks" already contested by the ministry.

«Italy is always behind on generics compared to Europe: they are a saving for patients and doctors must also adapt". Balduzzi announces that he will leave in the coming months a health portal. "Everyone will be able to know the specialties of the hospitals, where to be treated and operated on".

For the first time the minister talks about his future. "If needed, if they ask me, I can continue to be Minister of Health, but it is still early days".
