Trust in business. In last place is the pharmaceutical sector

Il Sole 24Ore reports the survey of the 17th edition of the Edelman Trust Barometer, the annual survey conducted in 28 countries on a sample of 33,000 people by the Edelman public relations agency.

The investigation took place between October and November of last year. And therefore it was not affected by the effects of the hottest phase of the campaign of the constitutional referendum of 4 December.

Italy turns out to be the second country in Europe for trust in companies, even if that towards managing directors collapses. Confidence in the government remains at very low levels, albeit with a very slight recovery.

The 78% of Italians believes that companies can carry out specific actions aimed not only at profit but also at the economic and social growth of the communities in which they operate and business is the category with the greatest confidence among Italians who are uncertain about the correct functioning of the system.

Italians are also asking for stricter controls for companies: the 90% of the champion, for example, asks for more regulations for the pharmaceutical industry and 70% disagrees that financial market reforms have increased economic stability.

The financial sector is recovering and, with a level of 40%, it no longer occupies the last position this year (but only in Italy because in the world average it is still financial services that rank in last place) the prerogative of the pharmaceutical sector
