Genoa. Doctors and pharmacies, six reported and the Region torpedoes three mutualists

 

Professionals were prescribing bogus prescriptions. Two businesses in San Fruttuoso and Sampierdarena at the center of the Nas investigations.

Four doctors and two pharmacists reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office. According to what the Nas carabinieri ascertained, they would have to answer for the violation of article 81 of legislative decree 219 of 2006, of paragraph three in the part in which it takes into consideration "The offer of incentives prohibited in the prescription of drugs". Furthermore, of suspected corruption: doctors would have clinics in the premises made available free of charge by pharmacists. On the other hand, the latter would be reciprocated with overprescriptions of medicines, such as to enormously inflate the proceeds.

These are two pharmacists: one with practice in the San Fruttuoso district, the other in Sampierdarena. And four professionals with adjacent medical offices. According to what transpires from the Palace of Justice, on the doubtful relationship between the two categories there would also have been the passage of money or, in any case, goods or other utilities. Come on "talked" reports", from deontological incorrectness, punished by the code with disciplinary procedures, we moved on to the hypothesis of a crime. All matter, however, in the investigative confirmation phase.

The cross-checks by the Nas and Asl Tre on general practitioners and pharmacies have already had some effect on the administrative side. Inspections by the Pharmaceutical Service and the Inspection Group Primary Care would have ascertained at least the presence of prescriptions outside the rule, so much so that the health management sent the report to the regional commission for the necessary measures. In via Bertani, headquarters of the "Tre" management, they say they do not know at the moment what the punitive sanctions are, but from the Region they let it be known that three professionals have been "degraded". They will no longer be family doctors, affiliated with the National Health Service. The decision was made by Ars, the Regional Health Agency of Liguria. Technically the measure is called "disgracement".
