Allergan's Botox keeps Ireland on its feet

Despite the crisis in Europe, in Ireland in Westport, the plant that produces Allergan's anti-wrinkle Botox (botulinum toxin) worldwide reports +10% of annual profits. Currently Botox revenue is split 50% between cosmetic and therapeutic uses, by 2016 70% of revenue will come from therapeutic use, for chronic migraine. In about 20 years, the plant has produced more than 26 million vials, generating 370 million euros in annual turnover.
