A decisive mobilization after the announcement (last Tuesday) of 217 "redundancies from Monza" linked to the European reorganization plan that Roche is preparing to implement. A measure intended to especially affect drug informants.
«THE RESTRUCTURING envisages a downsizing which, in Monza, will affect 180 primary care medical representatives (i.e. the division that caters to family doctors), 20 people linked to the HIV section (informants and employees) and 17 other employees» , explains Maurizio Paltan of Fulc-Cgil.
Approximately 1,050 people work at the Via Stucchi headquarters (offices only). Of these, 550 are drug informants (i.e. those who go to doctors and hospitals to make medicines known and promoted).
FROM 7.30 today, in front of the gates of the offices in viale Stucchi there will be a garrison of Roche drug informers. Then, in the late morning, the protest will move to Milan in front of the entrance to the Milan office of Assolombarda. «Here the informants of the drug of the Roche group will arrive, somewhat from all over Italy to make their voices heard. And always here, at 2.30 pm, the confrontation between the company and the unions will begin», adds Paltan.
