The TAI onlus – Italian Thalidomide Association – organizes the first presentation in Italy of the book IL FARMACO OSCURO.

This edition contains the preface by Prof. Luca Pani, Laura Sansone and Silvia Cammarata of AIFA – Italian Medicines Agency.
The book scientifically illustrates the history of thalidomide, retracing the fundamental steps from the invention to the introduction on the market of drugs containing an active ingredient which, when taken during pregnancy, caused disabilities in newborns, especially in the limbs.
Given the 50-year gap with which this topic has been treated, it is important to underline the importance of this publication not only for thalidomides and their families but for all citizens.
