Scientific representatives of the Roche drug in protest against the company's announced personnel cuts. About fifty people demonstrated yesterday morning, in pouring rain, in front of the Italian headquarters of the multinational in Monza. 'Roche 143 lawsuits await you', 'Record profits and layoffs of 143 families', 'Far more than social responsibility…you are only children of profit!' are some of the banners with which the employees 'at risk' presented themselves to the control center during this day of the strike. At the trade union meeting that followed the demonstration, the union representatives were given a mandate to "maintain an intransigent position": with this line they will have to present themselves at the meeting with the top management, scheduled for 9 March in Assolombarda in Milan. A similar trade union meeting was held in Naples for Roche informants who work in the South.
