Ranaldo (Federfarma): "We want the Cup back in the shop"

Savonese pharmacists united against the Region's "empty pharmacies" resolution. The provision, adopted in August by the council of via Fieschi, in fact provides for the home distribution of medicines by the Pharmaceutical Department of the Local Health Authority to non self-sufficient patients and those suffering from chronic degenerative pathologies.
To prevent the implementation of the resolution and urge the Region to new agreements on the distribution of medicines, the Genoese colleagues who are members of Federfarma have already proclaimed, since yesterday, the "white strike" of the free Cup booking service in their pharmacies.
The pharmacists of Savona are aligned on the same positions: "If the regional resolution were implemented, the pharmacies would lose 50 percent of their collections with possible, serious repercussions on employment and the quality of services", explains Roberto Ranaldo, recently confirmed for the fourth time at the head of the provincial Federfarma.
"The category is strongly opposed to the regional resolution because the drugs must pass through pharmacies which can play a more widespread role in the area", says the president of the Order of Pharmacists, Giovanni Zorgno, who also points out the situation of the Cup booking service managed from pharmacies in the province of Savona: «An attempt was made to extend the service to all pharmacies that requested it, but the issue has momentarily stalled not so much due to controversy with the ASL as due to the state of agitation proclaimed against the decision of the region".
