According to the SEC, Teva made more than $214 million in illicit profits made through payments to help grow its market share and obtain regulatory approvals and favorable drug purchasing and prescribing decisions.

The agreement reached with the US authorities calls for the company led by Erez Vigodman to pay over 236 million dollars to the SEC and a 283 million dollar fine to the US Department of Justice. Teva will also have to remain under the monitoring of an independent observer for at least three years.
