Pharmacies: goodbye liberalization, fixed prices for medicines

No to the opening of "ethical" medicines. In return, some of these will become "over the counter".

Medicines back whole. Skip the liberalization of class C medicines with prescription, and everything, or almost everything, remains as it was. After the pharmacies threatened a lockout, and continued to negotiate for the cancellation of the law that took away their monopoly on "ethical" medicines, the House Budget Committee inserted an amendment overnight that effectively kills the latest attempt to open the medicine sector to the free market. The thousands of faxes that members of the national parapharmacy association have sent since yesterday to the address of the Prime Minister asking not to "surrender to caste" are useless.

No opening to parapharmacies

Medicines paid by the citizen with a prescription obligation (specialties such as analgesics or antibiotics, but not only) cannot be sold in parapharmacies and in the corners of large-scale retail trade, at a free price, as was said until yesterday. They will continue to be hostage to the authorized establishments, and will have, as today, a fixed price.
