Treviso. The general practitioners against the regional councilor Coletto, the secretary Gorini: more days off in the Marca

TREVISO. “We will anticipate the strike. And in the Marca we will also increase the days of blockage initially foreseen against the Veneto Region for 8 and 9 November: already by October the clinics of general practitioners will close, shutters down. It doesn't matter that the carabinieri commission us. The line of action will be sanctioned by a provincial assembly of general practitioners, perhaps as early as next Thursday. Coletto's words only aggravated the situation and exhausted our patience».
After the question and answer with the regional health councilor Luca Coletto, today the president of the general practitioners of Treviso Fimmg, Brunello Gorini, increases the dose: an even tougher line was decided at the extraordinary national congress of general practitioners held on Thursday in Sardinia. At the index the obligation to use telematic prescriptions rather than the red paper ones ("It is a clear violation of patient privacy, as well as a further bureaucratic nuisance"), but also other decisions taken by the health policy of the Region, not to mention "of the very serious violations of the social and health plan: the Region had decided to invest in integrated group medicines but now finds all the excuses not to do them".
And so the battle cry for the white coats of Fimmg, Snami and Smi is:"We want to go back to being family doctors, today we are suffocated by bureaucratic matters". Gorini therefore announces a very hot autumn, which all summed up will penalize patients, if there is no opening for dialogue. The Marca family doctors are the most angry and determined to make themselves heard.
Precisely for this reason, the director general of USL 2 Francesco Benazzi announces: "I will try to meet all the general practitioners' unions at an informal table next week, to listen to their reasons but also to try to avoid the strike". «Francesco Benazzi has my telephone number», replies Gorini, «Just dial the number. However, if Benazzi demonstrates to us that he is the main representative of the interests of the doctors of Treviso, and not of those of the Region, we will certainly find a point of understanding. But he must demonstrate to us that he is autonomous with respect to the Region ».
Gorini has said it several times: paperless prescriptions, online reports, which allow you to have the patient's entire medical history just a click away, more than a convenience, would represent a dangerous Big Brother, whose name goes Fser, or Regional electronic health record, where information about citizens' diseases, medicines and exemptions ends: «It hides serious privacy risks for clients», in fact Gorini says. And his doubts concern the confidentiality of the contents.
In order to be able to collect continuous drugs without a red prescription and without going to the doctor, the patient must sign a free and informed consent which feeds the health file, thus opening up, for the majority of general practitioners, "a sensational privacy problem" .
